Halloween

We had a very fun Halloween week. We started it off on Wednesday with going to Boo at the Zoo. We have gone every year and the kids love it. We didn't get a lot of candy this year, there doesn't seem to be as many participating companies as in years past, but the animals are always cool.

On Thursday both of the girls had Halloween parties at school. I was able to go to MacKayla's and we had a blast.

On Friday we went to Toys-R-Us in the afternoon for their trick or treat parade, the kids got neat bags to use for collecting their candy. Later we went to the mall to trick or treat and finally we went around the neighborhood. To end the night the girls got into their jammies and passed out candy to all the kids who came by. Now after all the fun that we had their favorite part was giving out the candy. Maybe next year we'll skip getting candy and just give...we'll see.

As for costumes, the girls went through several changes before Halloween. Annika was a Pooh hunny-pot, Genvieve from 12 Dancing Princesses and a vampire, she finally settled on the hunny-pot for Halloween night. MacKayla was Darth Vader, Cinderella, Snow White, and then on Halloween night Dracula's bride, she wore her Cinderella costume with fanged teeth and blood around her mouth.

We have lots of different costumes that the kids could have chosen from, the funny thing, they both wore basically the same costumes as last year.

I never thought to let kids pick from a lot of different choices for each different event. Hmmm, might be a good idea, especially if Abigail can't make up her mind what she wants to be. Of course we don't have a lot of choices...yet. I second the header picture. So adorable.
