Onion ice cream

The Good News: This past weekend I dug out the rest of the onions from my garden. I chopped them and put them in the freezer to use throughout the year. The house has smelled wonderfully of onion ever since.

The Bad News: Apparently everything picks up the flavor of onion. We made root beer floats for family night tonight and the ice cream tasted like onions. That was the most disappointing ice cream ever.

Try putting some gravy on it next time and see if that improves the flavor!!!

Oh sick. And I was talking about the ice cream, although Heather's idea is pretty gross too.

It helps to wrap the onion in plastic wrap and then in tin foil. It keeps the flavor and smell contained. Just a tip for next time.

I knew there was a reason not to eat onions!

Oh what a way to ruin ice cream :D When I worked at BYU take-out we had to double wrap the onions so they wouldn't permeate the other freezer things! Good Luck!
