And it begins...

With this being the fourth baby and pregnancy, you would think that I wouldn't get so excited for the little things, but alas I am. The nesting bug is getting to me. With the other girls I was able to use the same infant seat for all of them, but it expired just as Arabella outgrew it, so I needed another one. Well as you saw with me picking a name, I have to have things ready long in advance. I have been pouring over reviews, looking for sales, and trying to find the best car seat that I could. I also wanted a double stroller that could accept a car seat in the back, or the front. Well today I happened upon a great deal on Babies r Us and was able to pick up a stroller and car seat and save $50, plus they are giving free shipping and a free car protector. So now that that problem has been taken care of, I can move on to figuring out clothes, his room, toys...I guess I still have a ways to go, but at least I am on the way.

Tooth Fairy Week

This has been a busy week for the Tooth Fairy in our house. Annika lost her first tooth on Friday. Her permanent tooth had already grown in behind it, and it had been loose for a long time, so she finally asked me to help her pull it out. After pulling for a second she broke down and cried. We worked at it for a couple more minutes and then the tooth came out, she looked up at that point and said "it didn't hurt at all, I didn't even feel anything." What a fun kid. For her first tooth the Tooth Fairy gave her a whole dollar, she plans to buy out lots of stores with that one dollar, I love the innocence.
Yesterday MacKayla finally lost her third tooth. The first one on the top. She lost the two bottom ones over a year ago and was ready to lose another one. The top two teeth have been wiggly for about six months, but she didn't want any help getting them out. Finally yesterday she was ready for help and let me wiggle it and then it pulled right out. She is hoping that we can pull the other one out today, we'll have to see about that. I love the look of the missing top tooth, kids are so cute like that.

Jonathan's first photos

We had our ultrasound yesterday and Jonathan cooperated fairly well so that we have some nice photos of him. It was also neat to get a 3D ultrasound done and to be able to see a bit more detail of him.

This one is the "boy" shot. If the tech hadn't said what it was though, I never would have guessed. The girls also liked the second photo as it looks like he is blowing bubbles (apparently that is the cord.)

A boy, a boy, we're having a boy!

It's time for frogs, bugs, and dirty hands everywhere. We are all very excited! Apparently he is all boy already, he was picking his nose while we had the ultrasound.

John Grisham
Always love a good Grisham novel. This one was a collection of short stories that he wanted to share.

The Help - 464
Kathryn Stockett
This was set in the 60's in the South and tells of the stories of black women who are the help and how they feel about the situation. I really liked it and found the story to have a lot of depth and made me think a lot.

Dear John - 288
Nicholas Sparks
A fun fluff read. The story was good, the turns and twists were expected. Overall a fun story.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - 290
Mary Ann Shaffer
A good story set just after WWII and tells of the Island of Guernsey and the inhabitants and how they survived and came through the war. The story was good, not my favorite but still an interesting read.

Under the Dome - 1088
Stephen King
I have had a hard time with King for a while because his stories contain so much language and sex that it takes away from the story. This book while it did have a bit of the negative, overall was very good. The story is of a town that is completely isolated inside a dome of unknown origin. It then goes through what would happen to a society and how "human" everyone is. The people quickly go from the kindly neighbors to the hording mob. The story was very well developed and very worth reading.

The Midnight Charter - 336
David Whitley
This was recommended by Amazon based on the books that I was buying. I started it not knowing what to expect and kinda felt that way through half of the book at least. It is to be the first in a trilogy and certainly feels like a set up book. The story was okay, but there is still a lot that needs to be done for it to be good.
